Emmett Till One – The Barn
It’s March and no longer Black History Month, but I am sharing the story of Emmett Till anyway, as I am learning it. Being an old white guy, we’ve pretty much always been slow to the truth so consider the source. I only ask your patience with me, such as I am. Chances are, I won’t get everything right.

About Me
I used to think websites were stupid. Now I am one. So be it. But my messages have never been about me. I speak on behalf of a ravaged planet, withered soil, too warm air, dead oceans, junky food and junkier conscience. I stand with powerless and delinquent humanity, dominating systems and the alternatives known variously as redistribution of wealth, sacred economy, wise community, love, shalom and the sense we were born with.
This site is dedicated to those bright souls and citizenry, who regenerate soil and market daily bread, notice the melting ice caps and sound the call, who get up every morning determined to live differently, who vote and legislate even as they consider the facts, who sing, preach, dream and organize.
Most finally, this site is dedicated to the More, the Great Mysterious, the Spirit who some call God or Wonder or Allah, Elohim or Awe. This site is here to honor the unnameable whether we find it in the steam rising from good compost, the sweat dripping from the face of a weary organizer, in the Northern Lights, the song of the meadowlark; in Torah, Quran, Inuit Story, Sanskrit or Gospel. Or in some obscure songwriter’s lyrics!
